Welcome

The Maryland State Climatologist Office (MDSCO) resides in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science at the University of Maryland; it was established in the 1980s. Its mission is to 1) provide climate information services including data; 2) develop analyses and products to educate Marylanders on current and emerging climate; 3) place extreme events in historical perspective; and 4) support the Maryland Mesonet Project.
